Notice of “Suspicious” Bills of Lading

 

It has come to the notice of WM Container Lines Limited (“we” or the “Company”) that there are suspicious incidents regarding certain bills of lading allegedly issued by the Company. 

 

Recently, the Company has received enquiries from financial institutions regarding the authenticity of certain suspicious bills of lading (the “Suspicious B/Ls”).  The Suspicious B/Ls were purportedly issued by the Company.

 

We confirm that the Company has never issued and/or authorized any party to issue the Suspicious B/Ls and the Company has reported the matter to the Hong Kong Police.  No doubt, the Company denies any liability arising from the Suspicious B/Ls.

 

The Company has reserved all legal rights against the parties appearing in the Suspicious B/Ls.
